Event Title - Abstract Images
Aim To Commit to memory and recall series of abstract images in the correct sequence
Time to memorize 15 minutes
Time to recall 30 minutes
Memorizing paper
- Abstract shapes are presented in rows of five images per row.
- 50 rows are presented (five pages with ten rows to a page).
Recall paper
- Contestants must recall the images on the Recall Paper provided. Each row will be presented with the images in a different order, and competitors must indicate in which order the images appeared on the original sheet.
- Rows are presented in the same sequence as on the memorizing paper (ie row 1 on each paper contains the same five images, in a different order).
- Contestants indicate their answers by writing a number between 1 and 5 under each image in a row, "1" being the image at the extreme left of the corresponding row on the memorizing paper.
Scoring
- Five points are scored for each row correctly recalled. All five images in a row must be identified with the correct number.
- One point is deducted for each row incorrectly recalled.
- No points are scored or deducted for any row left blank on the recall paper.

1000 championship points standard: 250 images
Calculation factor: 1 image - 4 points
