Event Title - Abstract Images

Aim To Commit to memory and recall series of abstract images in the correct sequence

Time to memorize 15 minutes

Time to recall 30 minutes

Memorizing paper

  1. Abstract shapes are presented in rows of five images per row.
  2. 50 rows are presented (five pages with ten rows to a page).

Recall paper

  1. Contestants must recall the images on the Recall Paper provided. Each row will be presented with the images in a different order, and competitors must indicate in which order the images appeared on the original sheet.
  2. Rows are presented in the same sequence as on the memorizing paper (ie row 1 on each paper contains the same five images, in a different order).
  3. Contestants indicate their answers by writing a number between 1 and 5 under each image in a row, "1" being the image at the extreme left of the corresponding row on the memorizing paper.

Scoring

  1. Five points are scored for each row correctly recalled. All five images in a row must be identified with the correct number.
  2. One point is deducted for each row incorrectly recalled.
  3. No points are scored or deducted for any row left blank on the recall paper.
